Our Story

Where Sweet Palm Started

Sweet Palm Coffee & Food opened at 471 King Street in downtown Charleston as a modern, quick-serve café known for creative lattes and all-day breakfast, brunch and lunch. It quickly became a hangout spot for locals, College of Charleston students and visitors in the Radcliffeborough, Wraggborough, Harleston Village and French Quarter neighborhoods.

Our approach has always been simple: make the food in house, make the drinks the way you like them, and keep the line moving with a warm, lively feel.

Why North Charleston

A lot of our regulars live and work off the peninsula. Dorchester Road is one of North Charleston's busiest morning corridors, connecting neighborhoods, job sites and Joint Base Charleston traffic. Go Sweet Palm at 4393 Dorchester Road puts a Sweet Palm stop right on that route, so you don't have to head downtown for a good coffee and a real breakfast.
